Minutes of the Governing Body meeting of Shivalik Development Agency held on 10-02-2011 under the Chairmanship of Sh. Anil Kumar, IAS, Commissioner , Ambala Division-cum-Chairman, Shivalik Development Agency, Ambala in Circuit House, Ambala Cantt.

Item No. 1:        Confirmation of the proceeding of last meeting.

                        The House confirmed the minutes of the last meeting held on 29-01-2010.


Item No. 2:         Review of ongoing programmes.

                        The Chairman showed his satisfaction over the progress in respect of schemes where funds were released during 2009-2010 & 2010-2011.

                      While reviewing the progress of Schemes, where funds were released during 2009- 10, the Chairman directed the Deputy Director, ICDP, Ambala to utilize the entire amount of Rs. 60.66 lacs latest by March, 2011.  He further directed the concerned Officers to complete the works by 31-03-2011 where funds have been released during 2010-2011 so that the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Haryana be apprised accordingly in the coming meeting of Governing Body meeting of Shivalik Development Board likely to be held shortly.    

                 The House approved the schemes and funds released during 2010-11.


Item No. 3:         Expenditure status.

                      The House noted the expenditure status of the agency. The Chairman directed that the unspent amount should be utilized by 31-03-2011 positively.


Item No. 4: a)    Proposal for Annual Action Plan 2011-2012.

Keeping in view, the vast proposals submitted by the different departments, the Chairman asked the Deputy Commissioners/ Additional Deputy Commissioners of Ambala, Panchkula & Yamuna Nagar to give priority-wise detail of schemes keeping in view of sanctioned budget of Rs. 1000.00 lacs for 2011-2012.


Item No. 4: b)    Annual Plan under Scheduled Castes Sub-Plan (SCSP):

                       It was informed that Govt. has sanctioned Rs.1000.00 lacs for 2011-12. Out of this allocation, Rs. 135.00 lacs has been earmarked to be utilized under Scheduled Castes Sub-Plan. Now, the Planning Commission has replaced the word “Majority of Scheduled Castes Population” with “Having more than 40% Scheduled Castes Population”. In this regard a list of villages having more than 40% SC Population in the State as per 2001 Population Census has been drawn up from each district and Ambala has 148, Yamunanagar- 179 and Panchkula- 21 villages. Total number of households and SC households calculated on the basis of 6 persons in a family in these villages are as under:-

                 The House was requested to suggest/ propose the schemes which directly benefit the SC community so that the amount of Rs. 135.00 lacs under this component could be utilized in a proper way.
